DEA has designed and manufactured a NC tool holder trolley (code AR-494.11) dedicated to all those works done next to the CNC machining, successfully solving a crucial issue in the sector: safety
The use of sharp blades and milling cutters is common in companies specialized in mechanical possesses or who use machine tool, i.e. robotic automation for moulding, grinding, welding, pressing and particularly milling and turning etc.
Operators in this sector have reported several issues to us regarding the accessibility and storage of NC tools, especially in terms of transport.
Milling cutters, blades and spindles used for the cutting of components are highly dangerous tools which must be stored in total safety, and must be quick and easy for the operator to access, even on different lines.
The challenge for DEA therefore was to expand its range of tool trolleys and make a tool holder trolley to satisfy needs like safety, speed of use and transportation.
Features of the new DEA tool holder trolley
Let’s take a look at the features of this DEA trolley and discover the advantages of the choices made.
The tool holder trolley has a double-fronted opening for ease of access to milling cutters and spindles, resulting in faster use by technicians.
It has four drawers, each with 70 kg capacity, which can be adjusted according to the size of the blades.
Each drawer has ergonomic handles and a break/release system to keep the drawer in place during transport.
The trolley is also equipped with a surface to facilitate CNC machining and 4 castor wheels (2 equipped with breaks) for ease of transport between production lines.
The whole structure of the tool holder trolley is entirely welded.
